In a world of overwhelm and busyness, learn to say NO. Saying NO is a complete sentence. And saying NO allows us to say YES to what really matters.
My challenge to you – Think about what you can say NO to today? Create the space for the YES’s in your life that really matter.
I want to talk to you about one simple word, NO. The power of saying no. For many of us, we’re maxed out. We’re stressed out. We’re overwhelmed. It’s this disease of busy that many of us are experiencing right now, and part of that is because many of us have a problem saying no. Why is that?
When I speak to audiences all across the world, I hear from everyone they have a hard time saying no because they don’t want to disappoint others. They don’t want to let others down. Sometimes they have a hard time saying no because they figure they’re the only ones that can do it the right way. Is anyone guilty of that? I know I am.
The beauty of saying no is that saying no allows you to say yes to what really matters.
We only have 24 hours in a day, and we should have our priorities. What are your priorities? What’s important to you? Making sure that you are focusing on those and you’re not filling your calendar with things that aren’t on your priority list.
